Stephen Fleming, the long-standing head coach of the Chennai Super Kings, has parted ways with the franchise and will no longer continue to be a part of their set-up.
CSK made the announcement official via a media release on Monday, July 13, stating that the two were engaged in a round of honest conversations regarding the future of the five-time champions in the Indian Premier League ahead of the 2027 season. CSK has not named a replacement for Fleming yet, and an announcement is expected to be made shortly.
"Eighteen years is a lifetime in sport, and I leave with nothing but gratitude. My time with Chennai Super Kings has been the privilege of my coaching career. I am proud of everything we have achieved. Together, we celebrated unforgettable victories, overcame difficult moments, and built memories that will stay with me forever. CSK will always be close to my heart, and I will be cheering the team on for years to come," Fleming said in a franchise statement.
