Wonder kid Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is in no mood to stop at the moment. His brilliance with the bat has got the world heaping massive praise of his talent already, and his knock for Rajasthan Royals against Gujarat Titans in Match 52 of IPL 2026 in Jaipur was another testament to his unbelievable prowess as a 15-year-old. Sooryavanshi's 36 off 16, which included three maximums, has made him the fastest to 100 T20 sixes.

Sooryavanshi has taken only 514 balls to achieve the mindboggling feat, meaning that he hits a six almost every five balls, which is quite astonishing. The Samastipur-born reached the landmark moment with his first six of the match at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, as he took the charge against Mohammed Siraj over long on just the second ball of the innings. He hit two more sixes in his entertaining stay at the crease.

Fastest batters to 100 sixes in T20s (by balls)

Sr. No.  Player Name Balls Taken Nationality
1 Vaibhav Sooryavanshi 514 India
2 Karanbir Singh 813 Austria
3 Kieron Pollard 843 West Indies
4 Romario Shepherd 845 West Indies
5 Seekkuge Prasanna 850 Sri Lanka
5 Rakheem Cornwall 850 West Indies

In his short IPL career, Sooryavanshi has produced heatwaves with a flurry of sixes flowing from his marauding blade, which has not spared some of the best bowlers of the world like Jasprit Bumrah and Josh Hazlewood. In just 18 matches in the league, Sooryavanshi has smashed a whopping 64 sixes, more than the count of his fours (56).

He made his Ranji Trophy debut for Bihar at the age of twelve in a game against 42-time champions Mumbai. At the age of 13, he was picked up in the Under-19 squad to play for the Indian team, and later that year, he also made his IPL debut, hitting a six off his first ball in the marquee tournament to announce his arrival at the grandest stage.

With his raw talent and fierce ability to toy with any kind of bowling attack at such a tender age, the left-handed batter has caught the eye of the cricket pundits and experts, who have voiced their desire for his international debut as soon as possible. If a popular report is to be believed, Sooryavanshi might get his India cap during the upcoming two-match T20I series against Ireland.
