India and Pakistan meet in match 12 of the ongoing ODI World Cup at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday, October 14.

The weather report was being monitored by cricket enthusiasts as one of the India-Pakistan matches in the Asia Cup was washed out last month in Sri Lanka. The Indian Meteorological Department had earlier predicted chances of rain on Saturday and had the fans worried.

"While the weather is expected to remain dry during the next five days in Gujarat, light showers may occur at isolated places in Ahmedabad district on October 14. The atmosphere will remain cloudy. The next day, light rains may occur in Ahmedabad and other northern districts, such as Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, and Arvalli," said Manorama Mohanty, director of the Meteorological Centre in Ahmedabad, as quoted by Times Now.

However, the weather forecast has drastically gotten better and it seems that the rain Gods have signed a peace treaty with the cricketing Gods for what promises to be an intriguing contest between two former world champions. Both teams will get one point each if the encounter gets washed out due to rain.
