The Pakistan Cricket Board(PCB) has been facing a lot of problems with the team and management so far. Despite some incredible series with a win in Australia and England, there are a lot of problems being faced by the organization, though.

The recently ousted head coach Jason Gillespie opened up on the problems he faced from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) during his tenure with the Test team. The former Aussie paceman spoke about the lack of communication he faced from the board, which led to his resignation. It was a strong statement given by the 49-year-old who left the team 8 months into his two-year contract.

“As a head coach, you like to have clear communication with your employer. And I was completely and utterly blindsided. I had absolutely zero communication from anyone about that. After a number of other things that had gone on in the previous few months ... I thought, well, 'I'm not really sure if they actually really want me to do this job or not'," Gillespie told ABC.

The other big problem Gillespie had been when the PCB let go of assistance and high-performance coach Tim Nielsen and also brought but the improvements and in-roads he was making within the team. Gillespie also explained how his role was diminished within the team and how he barely had any role in the selection process.

“My opportunity to be able to help was severely diminished by a reduced role, In essence, I felt I was basically hitting catches. And that was about it on the morning of a game," added Gillespie.

The PCB has recently appointed former Pakistan cricketer Aqib Javed as the interim head coach in all the formats after the resignation of Gary Kirsten and Gillespie, and he has a lot of big shoes to fill as he takes over from some of the most experienced coaches in the International cricket.
