The PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) recently came forward and confirmed that Bangladesh men’s cricket team will be arriving early in Pakistan for the two ICC World Test Championship 2023–25 fixtures in Rawalpindi and Karachi on August 21–25 and August 30–September 3, respectively.
The side was originally slated to arrive on August 17; however, due to a change in plans, Bangladesh’s side will land in Lahore on August 13. The team will be training at the Gaddafi Stadium from August 14–16 before they make their way to Islamabad on August 17 to hold practice sessions.
After their arrival in Islamabad, the side will be holding practice sessions at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from August 18–20. It was the PCB that extended the invitation to BCB to send their team earlier, which has ensured that Bangladesh gets adequate practice ahead of the ICC World Test Championship matches.
With the side’s early arrival imminent, the PCB’s COO, Salman Naseer, came forward and highlighted how sports is not just about winning and losing; maintaining relationships is also an important aspect of it.
“Sports is not only about winning and losing, it’s also about comradery. I remain confident that the extra training sessions in Lahore will allow the players to showcase their best skills and talent on the global stage,” Naseer was quoted as saying by The Nation.
“We are delighted that the BCB have accepted our offer and we look forward to welcoming the Bangladesh men’s cricket team in Lahore on 13 August with our traditional hospitality. This will allow them to have three additional days of training and practice at one of our iconic venues before proceeding to Islamabad as originally planned,” he added.

Furthermore, BCB (Bangladesh Cricket Board) Chief Executive Nizam Uddin Chowdhury reflected on how grateful he was to the PCB for providing Bangladesh with the Bangladesh with the opportunity to train in Pakistan.

“We thank the PCB for giving the Bangladesh cricket team the opportunity to have additional training in Pakistan. This will certainly help the players to acclimate to the conditions and prepare better for the ICC World Test C’ship series,” Chowdhury said.
