When India defeated bitter foe Pakistan in the final to win the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007, Dhoni was captain. India also won the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy, which was the last ICC championship the Men in Blue won before Saturday, and the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup while he was captain.
Thanks to Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh's deft slog-overs bowling, India successfully defended the middling score after scoring 176 for seven in 20 overs, driven by Virat Kohli's 59-ball 76 and Axar Patel's 31-ball 47.
