Several reports are rife in the cricket corridor that the former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman will take charge of the Indian team for the side’s upcoming five-match T20I series against Australia. Notably the series is scheduled to be played right after the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023 and will begin on November 23, in Vishakapatnam.

This development comes on the back of the current head coach Rahul Dravid’s possible absence from the team due to his contract ending after the conclusion of the World Cup.
