One of the most anticipated games of the ODI World Cup 2023 is about to unfold as India and Pakistan are all set to take centre stage at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, on Saturday, October 14. Both sides are currently undefeated in the tournament, and it will be interesting to see how both sides fare against each other.

India have played against Australia and Afghanistan in the marquee event so far and the side has managed to register dominant victories. On the other hand, Pakistan have played against the Netherlands and Sri Lanka, and they have won both games in convincing fashion as well.

The game between India and Pakistan is always looked forward to by the fans. It is worth noting that Pakistan have never defeated India in the ODI World Cup. Despite leading head-to-head, the Babar Azam-led side will be keen on avoiding as much extra pressure as they can.

Team India, on the other hand, will be brimming with confidence. Having avid fan support behind them and good performances recently could propel the side to three wins in three ODI World Cup 2023 matches.

Pitch and Conditions

The surface at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad is one that is preferred by the batters. Swing could play a big role in the early stages of the clash, with the spinners getting some help in the middle overs as well. Opting to bowl first and chasing down the target on such a pitch could be a viable decision.
