India and Australia are currently engaged in the third match of their three-match ODI series at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot. The Indian team comfortably won the first two matches and currently lead the series 2-0.

During the series, Australian opener David Warner displayed impressive form with the bat, scoring a half-century in each of the three matches. In the third match, he scored 56 off 34, including six fours and four sixes, before being dismissed by Prasidh Krishna. Warner scored 52 and 53 runs in the first two matches in Mohali and Indore.

Warner had also showcased great form in the previous series against South Africa. However, Australia ended up on the losing side as South Africa comfortably won the last three ODIs to claim the series victory. Nevertheless, Warner's exceptional form leading up to the much-awaited 2023 ODI World Cup is a significant boost for the Australian team, especially considering the absence of Travis Head due to injury.

The highly anticipated World Cup is set to commence on October 5 with a match between the finalists of the previous edition, New Zealand and England. The Australian team will begin their World Cup journey with a game against India on October 8.

Australia unveil new jersey for ODI World Cup 2023

In another recent development, the Australian Cricket Board has recently unveiled new kits for both the men's and women's teams for the upcoming 2023-24 season. Fans are eagerly awaiting to see how the Australian team will perform in the World Cup and other upcoming events while sporting their fresh jerseys.

Meanwhile, reflecting on the overall design of the new Australia jerseys, most of the players seemed happy with how the design has come up especially just before the coveted ODI World Cup 2023. In the same vein, the Australian gun bowler, Mitchell Starc, said that the jerseys were inspired by the artwork of the indigenous people.

"I think it's great having the Indigenous artwork on the kit. We've been pushing for that for a long time and now to have it represented on the uniform for all three formats is fantastic," Starc was quoted as saying by Cricket.com.au.
