Legendary India cricketer Kapil Dev is all set to make yet another appearance on the silver screen as the 64-year-old has been reported to be playing a role in Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s (Rajnikanth’s daughter) new film ‘Lal Salaam’. The movie will also feature the legendary actor Rajnikanth and he will most probably be playing a cameo in the film.
The film is expected to release in 2023, with Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth as the lead actors. Produced by Lyca Productions, no official release date has been announced yet. Furthermore, legendary composer AR Rahman is a part of the film as well. Aishwarya Rajinikanth returns to direction after a long hiatus of seven years, and it is rumoured to revolve around cricket and communism.
With the film expected to be released soon, Rajnikanth took to Twitter and shared a picture of himself with Kapil Dev. The 72-year-old heaped praise on Kapil Dev and reflected on how much of an honour it was to be working alongside him. In the picture, both legends of their respective fields seemed to be having a conversation as they were filming on the sets of the movie in Mumbai.
