After two back-to-back losses at the hands of India and Zimbabwe, the Pakistan team have finally registered a win in the ongoing T20 World Cup as they defeated the Netherlands by 6 wickets on October 30 at Optus Stadium. Mohammad Rizwan, who looked blunt earlier on in the tournament, returned back to form as the wicketkeeper-batter smashed 49 off 39 while the all-rounder Shadab Khan played an instrumental part and picked up three crucial wickets.

Amidst a lot of positives, Babar Azam’s form remains to be a concern. He was in terrific touch coming to the tournament but is finding it difficult to get going. The Pakistan captain has scored just eight runs in three matches so far and also has been heavily criticised by many former cricketers and pundits for his captaincy skill.

Now interestingly, Babar, who put out a heartfelt tweet in favour of Virat Kohli when he was going through a rough patch just a few months ago, has been subjected to the same tweet by former India international, Amit Mishra. The 39-year-old on his official Twitter handle used the exact words and said, ‘This too shall pass. Stay strong,’ - which wasn’t taken lightly by former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi.

While speaking on Samaa TV, the anchor asked Afridi to react to the situation where Babar Azam showed a big heart but ‘a player named Amit Mishra is making fun of it’. Giving a reply, the 42-year-old took a dig at Mishra and questioned his identity as a cricketer.

“The name you're taking, Amit Mishra, he has also played for India. Was he a spinner or a batsman?” questioned Afridi on the show.

“Don't worry. Let's move on. This too shall pass,” the former cricketer added after being told that Amit Mishra is a spin bowler.
