Former Pakistan skipper Wasim Akram has questioned the skill set of Pakistan batters, whether they are capable of playing shots all-around the park or not. He gave an example of England's batter Ben Duckett and said that he does not let the spinners settle in their groove.

It must be noted that the Men in Green suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of England in the sixth T20I clash. Chasing a score of 170, the Three Lions' batters thrashed Pakistan's bowling line-up and completed the chase with ease.

Look at Ben Duckett, he does not let the bowlers settle, especially the spinners: Wasim Akram

“Forget 360, can they even play 180 degree?” Wasim asked Pakistan's batting coach Mohammad Yousuf in a television chat.

“Ben Duckett bowler ko, especially spinners ko set hone deta hi nahi. Vo har jagah shots maarta hai. Agar main Pakistan ke against khelu, toh mujhe pata hoga inhone kidhar shots maarni hain. Vo versatile nahi hain. Koi koshish bhi nahi karta. 360 is too much to ask, 180 hi kar lein. Ye practice karte ho aap, aur toh apply kyun nahi karte

(Look at Ben Duckett, he does not let the bowlers settle, especially the spinners. He plays shots in all directions of the ground. If I play against Pakistan, then I know where they will play their shots, they are not versatile, and no one even tries. 360 degrees is too much to ask, at least they should try to play 180. You do this kind of practice? And if you do then why don't they apply in the match )?” Wasim bluntly asked his former teammate.

Replying to Wasim's question, Yousuf said, "I’m making a conscious effort. I talk to Saqlain bhai (Saqlain Mushtaq, Pakistan's Head Coach) about this. When they (Pakistan batters) play spinners, I stand behind and suggest our batsmen a number of different shots, play this shot at this ball, this at this."

Meanwhile, the home team will take on England in the final T20I match at the Gadaffi Stadium in Lahore. The series is currently levelled at three each and the team winning the final match will also clinch the series.
