Since Athiya Shetty's father, Suniel Shetty, revealed the actress and cricketer KL Rahul were getting married, their nuptials have been the buzz of the town. The couple has been dating for a while. They also recently relocated into a lavish sea-view flat in Bandra, Mumbai's B-town district.
Following Suniel Shetty's disclosure of Athiya and KL Rahul's marriage plans, it is now being said that the couple would tie the knot at the renowned actor's Khandala house, "Jahaan." In a recent interview, Suniel Shetty had mentioned that the wedding would happen when both Athiya and Rahul were ready for it.
As per a report by Pinkvilla, Athiya and KL Rahul have chosen to forgo a ceremony at lavish hotels and instead get married in the presence of their family and loved ones. Additionally, the wedding planners recently visited the bungalow to have a look. From the end of December through the first week of January, friends and close family members have been asked to remain available. The cricketer's work schedule will, however, be taken into account when choosing the wedding date. In any case, neither the couple nor their families have yet to confirm.
KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty have often been spotted together in public, and their relationship was confirmed when the cricketer wished his girlfriend on her birthday with a lovely special message on social media. Rahul was also spotted at the premiere of Athiya Shetty’s brother Ahan Shetty’s debut film Tadap.
KL Rahul was ruled out of a couple of India series after the conclusion of the IPL 2022 as he suffered an injury. The opening batter flew to Germany for his treatment, and Athiya had also tagged along with him and was with the cricketer throughout his recovery process.

Rahul made a comeback when India toured Zimbabwe last month, in August. Currently, Rahul is a part of the Indian combination at the ongoing Asia Cup 2022. His form with the bat has been criticized recently as he has not managed to stand out of the lot at the tournament. In the very first game against Pakistan, Rahul was dismissed for a golden duck and since then, he has not been able to make a big impact.
