Star Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is set to miss the upcoming T20 World Cup after undergoing a knee surgery in Mumbai. According to the latest reports it has come to light that the injury was sustained during an adventure activity following the Asia Cup clash against Hong Kong, to the frustration of the team management.
Apparently, the flamboyant southpaw was asked to undergo some water-based training activity at a team hotel in Dubai. Jadeja slipped and twisted his knee in the process, which required surgery, according to a source of Indian media outlet Times of India.
“He had to balance himself on some kind of a ski-board as of an adventure activity – not part of the training manual at all. It was absolutely unnecessary. He slipped and twisted his knee badly, which led to a surgery,” sources in the know of developments told TOI.
While no official statements are released about the incidents in the lead-up to Jadeja's injury, it is understood that some of the BCCI officials are fuming about the Indian star's injury. Questions are being raised behind the scenes on the all-rounder's 'freakish' injury which has the team sweating for balance ahead of the mega ICC event.
Team India will travel to Australia without Ravindra Jadeja: Sources

There has been no inquiry from the former Indian captain in regards to the entire fiasco and he will have to do without the effervescent cricketer's services at the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia.
“What’s surprising here is, Head Coach Rahul Dravid hasn’t ‘lost his cool’ given how the injury. Ideally, one would have expected Dravid to question this entire process. All said, the bottomline is – India will travel to Australia without Jadeja,” sources added.
